Step-by-Step CUET UG 2026 Application Registration Process

NTA will officially confirm dates, so keep a check on the website. Students must apply well before the last date to avoid any kind of issue later.

You must keep the following documents prepared before starting registration process:

• Valid email ID and mobile number
• Class 10 marksheet
• Class 12 marksheet / appearing details
• Aadhaar card or other photo ID
• Scanned passport-size photograph
• Scanned signature
• Category certificate (if applicable)

This Guide will help you fill the Application Form Without any problem!

Go to cuet.nta.nic.in and click on:

“New Registration – CUET UG 2026”

You have to Fill in basic details

• Candidate’s full name
• Father’s name
• Mother’s name
• Date of birth
• Mobile number
• Email ID

You will receive an OTP on your mobile and email for verification.

After OTP verification, the system will generate your:

• Application Number 
• Login credentials

#Note: Save these details carefully as  they are required throughout the admission process.

Log into the portal using your application number and password Then enter the following details:

• Gender
• Nationality
• Category (General/OBC/SC/ST/EWS)
• PwD status
• Permanent & correspondence address

#Tip: Do not mismatch personal details with Class 10 records or your form can get rejected.

Enter the Following Data as follows:

• Board name
• Passing year
• Roll number
• School name
• Marks/CGPA

If you are  appearing in Class 12:

• Select “Appearing”
• Enter expected board year (2026)

If you have completed Class 12:

• Enter the Information Same as Class 10 details

#Tip: Academic details should match your marksheets and certificates.

This is the one of the most critical step in CUET 2026 form filling process

CUET UG allows you to choose:

• Language Test (1 or 2)
• Domain Subjects (Maximum 6)
• General Test (Optional)

Subject selection must be done as per university and course eligibility.

Universities like Delhi University, BHU ,etc have criterias for a course selection. For Examples :

• BA → Language + Domain Subjects are required 
• BCom/ BCom (Hons) → Mathematics / Accountancy are one of Mandatory subject 
• BSc → Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology are needed as per discipline 

#Important Note: Some Universities like Delhi University accept only subjects chosen in Class 12 only. Wrong subject selection can result in application rejection, even if you qualify the exam.

You have to select up to 4 exam cities in order of preference.

A piece of Advice:

• Choose cities closest to your residence
• Avoid selecting distant cities unnecessarily

NTA allots the exam centre based on availability.

You must upload scanned images as per specifications mentioned:

✔️ Use a recent passport-size photo only
❌ Avoid selfies, blurred images, or caps 

Application fee varies by category and number of subjects.

#Note: No fee payment means incomplete application and you are not eligible for the exam!

After successful payment:

• Download the confirmation page
• Take 1-2 printouts for future reference

NTA provides a correction window after form submission. CUET announced its correction window between 2 - 4 February.

You can edit only:

• Personal details
• Subject selection
• Exam city
• Uploaded images

#Important: Some fields like “Category’’ may not be editable, so fill carefully the first time.
